About this event
The Orlando RC Helicopter Society (TORCHS) annual Gator's Winter Bash heli fun fly at the TORCHS West Flying Field, 4225 Ocoee Apopka Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761. Friday December 4, 8:00 AM, through Sunday December 6, 3:00 PM. Includes an IRCHA Cup regional 3D freestyle competition (see the linked contest).
Schedule:
- Open flying Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Night flying Friday and Saturday nights
- IRCHA Cup competition on Saturday (register for the competition at ircha.org)
- Night Flying Contest (LED) Saturday night: a small contest for fun, invitation only (contact Carl Meadows)
Spectators are always welcome. All pilots need current AMA Full membership.
Registration (torchs.org, pay in full in advance, register by Thursday, Nov 26, 2026, 11:59 PM):
- Pilot: $50 pre-registration. Pre-registering saves up to $15 over the at-the-event price.
- Pilot + RV parking: $110
- T-shirt only for pre-registration on or before November 1
Requirements: AMA membership required.
Camping: RV parking only, no hookups, limited spaces. No tent camping.
Sponsors: Amplified Graphics and the IRCHA Cup.
Power allowed: electric, nitro, gas and turbine (turbine pilots need their AMA turbine waiver).
