These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of rceventfinder.com (the "Site"), operated by RC Event Finder ("we", "us"). By using the Site or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What the Site is
RC Event Finder is a free directory of radio control (RC) events, flying fields, tracks and train layouts. Listings are submitted by users and organizers or compiled from public sources. We do not organize, host, run or supervise any event, field or track listed on the Site.
2. Listing accuracy
Dates, locations, fees, rules and other details can change or contain errors. Always confirm details with the event organizer, club or track before you travel or take part. We are not responsible for cancellations, changes or inaccurate information.
3. Safety and rules
RC flying and driving involve real risks. You are responsible for your own safety and equipment and for following all laws, regulations and site rules that apply to you. This includes FAA requirements for model aircraft and drones, Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) or club safety codes, radio frequency rules, and any rules set by the field, track or event organizer. Membership, insurance and fee requirements are set by each organizer, not by us.
4. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms.
5. Your submissions
- You may submit events, fields, tracks and related details, including files such as flyers ("Submissions"). Submissions are reviewed before they are published, and we may edit, decline or remove any Submission at our discretion.
- You confirm that you have the right to share each Submission, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- You keep ownership of your Submissions. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, format and distribute them on the Site and in promoting the Site.
6. Claiming a listing
An organizer may claim a listing by following the one-time link we send to the contact email stored on that listing. By claiming a listing, you confirm that you are authorized to manage it on behalf of the event, club or venue. We may reverse a claim if we receive a credible dispute or evidence that it was made without authority.
7. Things you may not do
- Post false, misleading, unlawful, hateful or spam content, or listings for events that do not exist.
- Impersonate any person, club or organization, or claim a listing you are not authorized to manage.
- Collect other users' or organizers' contact details from the Site, or use automated tools to scrape, overload or interfere with the Site.
- Try to bypass security, access other accounts, or upload malicious code.
8. Corrections, removals and copyright
If a listing about your event, club or venue is wrong, or you want it removed, contact us and we will review it promptly. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send us a notice that identifies the work, the content and where it appears, with your contact details, and we will respond as required by law.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site links to club websites, registration pages and map services that we do not control. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RC Event Finder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss or damage arising from events, fields, tracks or activities listed on the Site, or from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold RC Event Finder harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Submissions, your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above, and continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time.
14. Governing law
