Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club (PVMAC)

The Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club (AMA #142) is a large, long-running RC club that dates to the 1960s and has several hundred members. It operates Prado Airpark inside Prado Regional Park near Chino. The field has a paved runway of about 800 x 50 ft, a roomy pit area, a heli pad and a park-flyer area. Electric, glow and gas aircraft are welcome; turbines are not allowed. The site is an FAA-recognized FRIA. Non-members with AMA cards can fly on weekends for a day fee. The club offers free buddy-box instruction for students age 10 and up, and holds community events such as an annual Toys for Tots breakfast.
