Gold Country Flyers

Gold Country Flyers is AMA charter club #1796, founded in 1972, with roughly 70 to 90 members in Amador County and the Sacramento foothills. The club flies at Spiva Field on Michigan Bar Road near Ione, a gated FAA-recognized FRIA site with an asphalt runway, a helicopter pad and control-line circles. The field is open in daylight 365 days a year and the club offers flight training. AMA membership is required, and guests are welcome. The club website was not loading in October 2026, so contact the club before visiting.
