About the club
Menifee Valley Flyers (AMA #1717) is a radio control flying club in Menifee, Riverside County. It started in 1980 as the Perris Valley Flyers, moved to its hilltop site off Menifee Road in 1982, and took its present name in 2000. The field is open around the clock to members and supports fixed-wing, helicopters, multirotors and pylon racing; turbines are not allowed. Because the site is a monitored former landfill, the runway cannot be paved. The club holds a monthly night fly, a members-only float fly at a private community lake (Heritage Lake), and fun flies during the year. New pilots train with a club instructor on a buddy box.
