Livermore Flying Electrons (LFE)

Livermore Flying Electrons (LFE) is AMA club #157, with about 191 members. Despite the name, the club allows electric, glow and gas aircraft. It flies at a field on Raymond Rd in Livermore, just off I-580, with an asphalt runway and pits, a covered shelter, power and charging, and a helicopter pad. The club focuses on getting beginners to solo and offers youth membership at a reduced rate. It also runs the LFE Raceway Series, with races held at the field. Meetings are irregular and usually on Saturdays. AMA also lists a second site, The Ranch at Birch Creek, without details. Check with the club before visiting.
