Diablo Valley Radio Controllers (DVRC)

Diablo Valley Radio Controllers (DVRC) is AMA club #123, founded in 1967 and a nonprofit since 1972, with about 58 members. The club flies at the Thomas C. Allen Memorial Airfield in Stoneman Park, Pittsburg, a 241-acre former Camp Stoneman range near Delta View Golf Course that was dedicated in 2002. The field has a grass runway, a covered flight line, indoor restrooms and a helicopter pad. Guests are welcome by arrangement with the membership manager; joining requires AMA membership and a club sponsor. The club has instructors and a training manual, and meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10 am in the pits.
