About the club
The Torrey Pines Scale Soaring Society (AMA #3059) is a club for scale RC sailplanes, flown off the cliffs at the Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla. Flying is slope soaring only: no motors of any kind. Gliderport flying needs AMA membership, membership in TPSSS or Torrey Pines Gulls, the city waiver and a gliderport rating.
