Torrey Pines Gulls (TPG)

Torrey Pines Gulls (AMA #129) is one of the oldest AMA-chartered RC soaring clubs, with more than 100 members. It runs two gated glider fields, in Poway and Encinitas, and its members also slope-soar at the Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla. The club is all about sailplanes: hand launch, hi-start, winch and F5J electric gliders. It holds monthly DLG and F5J contests and foamy fun flies at Poway, and offers instructors for new glider pilots.
