Canyon Crosswinds RC Club

Canyon Crosswinds RC Club (AMA #1433) flies at a private, gated field on Lake Hughes Road above Castaic Lake in the Santa Clarita Valley. The 600 x 50 ft asphalt runway serves everything from sport planes to giant scale, pattern and jets, and there is a separate heli area. The field has paved pits, power and chargers, porta-potties, setup tables and a weather station. Members get a gate key after a flight proficiency check. Membership is capped at 100 adults plus juniors and the club keeps a waiting list. Free flight training is offered. The club holds a summer open house and night-fly events.
