Santa Fe Dam RC Modelers (SFDRCM)

Santa Fe Dam RC Modelers (AMA #988) is an AMA Gold Leader Club of about 110 members flying at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area on the Duarte / Irwindale line. The club runway is paved and members fly airplanes, helicopters and multirotors, with float flying on the lake on scheduled float-fly days. Members can fly daily from 8 AM to sunset; most flying happens in the morning. Guests with an AMA card are welcome for two sessions ($10 a day) before being asked to join. New pilots get free intro lessons on club trainers with a buddy box after a short ground school. There is no water or power at the field, so bring charged batteries and pack out your trash.
