Trabuco Flyers

Trabuco Flyers (AMA #4050) is a large RC club of about 125 members, founded in 1986, that likes to call itself a social club with a flying problem. Members fly everything from park flyers and helicopters to giant-scale and 3D aircraft. The club's private, gated field is in Trabuco Canyon in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. It has a paved runway and taxiway, shaded pits and flight line, and a climate-controlled clubhouse with restrooms and a kitchen, plus barbecues and picnic tables under the oaks. New members get free flight training up to first solo, and prospective members can book a free intro flight. Yearly events include a swap meet, a Memorial Day pig roast and a fall chili cook-off.
