Orange County Modelers Association (OCMA)

The Orange County Modelers Association (AMA #58) is an umbrella group formed in 2000 by several local AMA clubs so they could run one shared flying site. About ten clubs take part today, covering airplanes, scale, soaring, helicopters and FPV. OCMA runs Bob Swenson Memorial Field, an Orange County Parks site in Santiago Canyon near Silverado. To fly there you need an OCMA field badge, which requires membership in a participating club plus full AMA membership and FAA registration. The field is an FAA-recognized FRIA with asphalt runways and a separate multirotor area. OCMA holds swap meets, member appreciation days and fly-ins during the year. Check flyocma.com/notices for closures.
