About the club
Founded in 2008 and AMA-chartered (#489) in 2017, the club has flown since 2010 at Highsmith Air Field in Currie, NC, an FAA-recognized FRIA with a groomed 1000 x 60 ft grass runway, covered spectator seating and engine test stands; about 70 members fly sport, 3D, warbirds, jets and helicopters. Offers structured flight instruction with a student handbook and ground school.
