About this field

The Sacramento Area Modelers field is on the south side of Florin Rd in eastern Sacramento County, behind a signed gate. It has a paved runway with an adjacent grass strip, asphalt pits, a helicopter pad, covered tables with power, startup stands, fences and porta-pots, and is accessible. A snack bar runs during events.

Electrics may fly from sunrise to 8 am, and all aircraft from 8 am to dusk daily; turbines are not allowed. The field is an FAA-Recognized Identification Area. AMA is required unless flying with a club instructor. A first visit is free, and a $10 day-use program is available for occasional visitors.
