About this field
Glendale Field is the San Fernando Valley RC Flyers' private AMA field in northeast Glendale, next to the 2 freeway with the Verdugo Mountains as a backdrop. Flying here requires the Valley Flyers membership with Glendale access.
The field faces east with light winds (5-10 mph) usually from the southeast. It has one runway (450 ft, about 350 ft usable), a helicopter pad, a shade structure, a porta-potty, a calibrated wind sock, 24/7 security cameras and a solar-powered charging station (12V, USB and 110V outlets).
