Rules for visitors

Airplanes, helicopters and jets; gas and glow allowed. Every pilot must keep an A/B/C fire extinguisher in the pits. The field is close to the border and nearby airports - check current flight restrictions with the club before flying.

Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.

About this field

The Chula Vista Model & RC Club field is on Dairy Mart Road off I-5 in the Tijuana River Valley. It has a 500 ft paved runway, a shaded pit area with tables and chairs, a heli pad, porta-potties and start-up stands.

Because the field is near the border and local airports, check current flight restrictions with the club before you fly. The club website has not been updated since 2017.
