Rules for visitors

Non-motorized RC gliders only (city rule), under 4 lb. No contests. A Rancho Palos Verdes permit ($10/year, through Peninsula Silent Flyers) and full AMA membership are required. Parking needs a ParkMobile reservation.

Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.

About this field

The bluffs at Del Cerro Park in Rancho Palos Verdes are a slope-soaring site for RC gliders, flown under a city permit held by Peninsula Silent Flyers. There is no runway; gliders are launched by hand off the slope.

Only non-motorized gliders under 4 lb are allowed. Parking at the park must be reserved through ParkMobile.
