About this field

Canyon Crosswinds RC Club's field sits on Lake Hughes Road above Castaic Lake. From I-5 take exit 176B, turn right on Lake Hughes Rd for about a mile, and the driveway is on the right before the Earl Schmidt Filtration Plant.

The 600 x 50 ft asphalt runway has paved pits with power and chargers, a heli pad, porta-potties, setup tables, a field camera and a weather station. The field is gated; members get a key after a flight proficiency check.
