Rules for visitors
AMA membership required. New members sign a waiver and review the flight map, flight line protocols, facility rules and red-flag (fire weather) protocols. Five pilot stations between the pits and runway. No turbines. Climate-controlled clubhouse with restrooms and kitchen; barbecues and picnic tables.
A member's guest may fly one day per year before joining; prospective members get one free day with an AMA card. Visiting pilots from outside Southern California who belong to another AMA/MAAC club can fly up to two weeks per year after an orientation.
Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.
