Rules for visitors

96 dB max (AMA procedure); canister mufflers or tuned pipes required on singles 51cc+ and multi-cylinder engines with 36cc+ per cylinder; sustained 'prop rip' over 5 s after warning = grounded for the day; max 5 aircraft airborne; hover/3D at station 5; 20-minute flight limit; no flying during mowing (usually Fridays); no smoking pits-to-flightline; no alcohol during flight ops; FAA registration number displayed and TRUST certificate required. FAA has authorized ceiling up to 1,200 ft at the field (Class G FRIA).
Guests must have a sponsoring member; non-AMA guests may fly one time only on the host's aircraft with a buddy box; AMA members who aren't club members may fly occasionally or while temporarily visiting the area.

Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.

Leased field. Directions: from Rt 85/Rt 82 intersection go east on Rt 82 about 2.3 mi, entry on right (1/4 mi before Rt 354/Gardner Lake). FAA FRIA 2023-CBO-00221-FRIA (expires 2027-08-15). Solar charging system (13 V / 27-28 V DC stations) in demonstration mode as of Sept 2026; use only with a team member present.
