Rules for visitors

90 dBA at 15 ft; max 4 aircraft aloft (+1 in 3D areas); flights within cleared area, max 400 ft; no alcohol, smoking, open fires, RC cars, control line or rockets; kill switch on ignition engines; helicopters only for members in good standing before Oct 2020; new members 2.4 GHz only; students fly with an instructor until passing pilot test.
Guests may fly with a current AMA card when a designated instructor is present; guests welcome for 3 days or one month, whichever comes first; guests stay in the pit area. Gate is locked - field not accessible unless members are present.

Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.

Flying field of Long Island Aero Radio Society (L.I.A.R.S.) (AMA club #454).

Town of Brookhaven facility adjacent to Martha Avenue Recreation Park; LIARS is the host club. Paved L-shaped runway plus grass field, 3D/hover area, pavilion, starting benches, workstations, picnic tables, seasonal portable toilet. FAA FRIA 2023-CBO-00247-FRIA (Martha Ave, Bellport) valid to 2027-08-15.
