Rules for visitors

Max 100 dB at 3 m; max 5 aircraft in the pattern; no helicopters or multirotors; stay within posted flight boundaries (power line is rear boundary), no intentional flying above 1,000 ft; no flying over/behind pits; pilots 25 ft from runway edge; no high-speed low passes within 75 ft of flight line; first/last person must notify Stone Mountain Park police; no firearms, drugs or alcohol; park may close the field for park events.
Guests with full AMA membership may fly up to two times per calendar year; must show valid AMA card; aircraft/pilot checkout highly recommended. New-to-field pilots get a check ride with an instructor. Non-AMA beginners may fly with a designated AMA Intro Pilot.

Recreational pilots need an FAA TRUST certificate, and aircraft over 250 g must be FAA registered.

Flying field of Stone Mountain R/C Flyers (AMA club #4454).

Directions: 8 miles from I-285 on the east side of Stone Mountain Park; take US-78 east, exit West Park Place Blvd, bear right, right at the second Bermuda Road past SpaceMax Storage; entrance 1/4 mile on left. AMA also lists grass runway, covered shelter, electricity. FAA FRIA 2023-CBO-02344-FRIA (5601 Bermuda Rd, expires 2027-09-15).
