About the club
Ten hobbyists started this club in 1965 at Prado Park in Chino as the Chino Flying Club. It became the American Model Airport Association in 1971 (AMA #113), and members still call themselves the AMAA Chino Flyers. After several moves around Chino, the club settled at Fisherman's Retreat in San Timoteo Canyon near Redlands in the early 1990s.
The field has a paved runway with dirt overruns, a paved pit area, covered picnic shelters and a heli pad. Members fly airplanes, helicopters, ducted fans, FPV and drones, and the club runs Club 40 and trainer races, night flies and swap meets.
