Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego (SEFSD)

Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego (AMA #3078) is an electric-only club of nearly 400 members and an AMA Club of the Month (September 2025). Members fly at a gated field on Mission Bay's South Shores, off Sea World Drive, with a 450 x 50 ft clay runway, a heli pad, tables, porta-potties and a big parking lot. Airplanes, helicopters and multirotors are flown dawn to dusk, seven days a week. No glow or gas engines are allowed. AMA-member visitors can fly with an SEFSD sponsor. The club runs mentors for new pilots and regular events such as electric glider contests and jet rallies.
