CAMBA Sailing Club

CAMBA Sailing Club (Capital Area Model Boat Association) is an AMYA-affiliated RC model yacht club (AMYA club #32) that sails at Rensselaer Lake in Six Mile Waterworks Park, Albany, NY. The club was founded in the early 1970s and races radio-controlled sailboats from May through October. Tuesdays are Soling One Meter race days, sailed in Spring, Summer and Fall series. Thursdays are open sailing, with US12 or DF95 class racing on alternate weeks. Boats go out at noon and racing starts at 1:00 PM. The club keeps perpetual trophies, including the Larry Grant Founders Cup for match racing. No sailing experience is needed; members help newcomers get started in the Soling One Meter class.
