About the club
Free State Aeromodelers (AMA #232, chartered 1980) operates Konterra Model Airpark in Beltsville/Laurel, MD, midway between Washington and Baltimore — a grass runway over 500 ft long and 100 ft wide with two shelters, restrooms and large parking. All aircraft types fly there, including turbine and EDF jets, drones and helicopters; the club is a 501(c)(7) non-profit.
