About the club
Founded in 1936, the Rhode Island Aeromodelers (AMA charter #582) is one of the state's largest RC clubs and was the first club in the country to earn AMA Gold Leader Club status. It flies fixed-wing, helicopters and drones at Beattie Field in West Greenwich, a FRIA site with two elevated grass runways, a helicopter practice area and a drone racing basin.
