About the club
Smith Lake Flyers was established in 2003 at the Bernie Smith Aerodrome in Cabarrus County near Mt. Pleasant, NC, which has a 100 x 550 ft grass runway and a 30 x 300 ft fabric runway. The club also flies floatplanes and runs RC boats at a separate Smith Lake site.

Full and Probationary members: full-member rate (amount not published); Youth (19 and under with AMA youth membership): free; Associate (non-flying spouse/parent): free; Regional member (lives 50+ miles away and belongs to own AMA club): half the full rate. Dues due by June 30; new members pro-rated monthly.
