Fort Worth Thunderbirds R/C Association

Founded in 1962 (AMA charter #1217) and named after the USAF Thunderbirds, this family-oriented club flies from a field it leases from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Mustang Park on the south shore of Benbrook Lake. It hosted the first National Fun Fly championships and runs events such as the TEX Texas Electric Expo, Cowtown Jet Classic, Warbirds and an EDF Jet Blast, plus a buddy-box learn-to-fly program.
